Swimming Course Locations in Singapore
Swim2u runs swimming courses at public swimming complexes, private venues and condominium pools across Singapore. Here are the areas we teach in, the public pools in each, and how to choose one.

Where Swim2u runs swimming courses
Swim2u Swim School runs swimming lessons at public swimming complexes, private venues and condominium pools across Singapore. The areas below are the ones Swim2u names on its own site. If you are searching for “swimming lessons near me” or “swimming classes near me”, the most useful thing to tell us is where you live or work and which pool you would realistically get to each week.
Swim2u teaches in this area; tell us your preferred pool and the team will confirm which pools and timeslots are available. Pool availability changes with the ActiveSG programme, school holidays and lane bookings, so this page does not promise slots at any particular complex.

Swimming lessons in Punggol
Punggol's new public swimming facilities are part of the Punggol Regional Sport Centre, which has been reported as scheduled to open by the end of 2026, with an Olympic-size pool and a separate training pool among its planned facilities. As of late September 2026 it is not yet listed among ActiveSG swimming complexes, so check current opening status on ActiveSG before planning lessons there.
Until then, Punggol families often look at nearby complexes such as Sengkang Swimming Complex, or at their condominium pool. For a detailed local guide, see PunggolSwimming.sg.
Swimming lessons in Sengkang
Sengkang Swimming Complex (Anchorvale Road) is the ActiveSG complex serving Sengkang, and is also the nearest open public complex for many Punggol residents while the Punggol Regional Sport Centre is being completed. Serangoon Swimming Complex and Hougang Swimming Complex are other options depending on where you live.
Swimming lessons in Hougang
Hougang Swimming Complex (Hougang Avenue 4) serves Hougang. Depending on your block, Serangoon Swimming Complex or Sengkang Swimming Complex may be just as convenient, so it is worth comparing travel time rather than assuming the one with your town's name is closest.
Swimming lessons in Tampines
ActiveSG's Tampines Swimming Complex is located at Our Tampines Hub (Tampines Walk), next to Tampines town centre. Pasir Ris Swimming Complex is another nearby option for residents towards Pasir Ris.
Swimming lessons in Bishan
Bishan Swimming Complex (Bishan Street 14) also serves many Toa Payoh residents while the Toa Payoh pool is closed for redevelopment. Ang Mo Kio residents may also consider ActiveSG Sport Park @ Teck Ghee Swimming Complex or Yio Chu Kang Swimming Complex.
Swimming lessons in Toa Payoh
The former Toa Payoh Swimming Complex closed on 31 October 2023 together with the Toa Payoh sport centre, to make way for a new regional sport centre with an aquatic centre as part of the Toa Payoh Integrated Development, which Sport Singapore expects to complete around 2030. In the meantime, Sport Singapore pointed residents to nearby centres such as Bishan and Jalan Besar; Bishan Swimming Complex and Jalan Besar Swimming Complex are both open ActiveSG pools. Toa Payoh residents in condominiums can also consider lessons at their own pool.
Swimming lessons in Woodlands
Woodlands Swimming Complex (Woodlands Street 13) serves Woodlands. Bukit Canberra Swimming Complex in Sembawang is another option for residents in the north, and Yishun Swimming Complex for those closer to Yishun.
Swimming lessons in Jurong
Jurong has several public pools: Jurong East Swimming Complex (Jurong East Street 31), Jurong West Swimming Complex (Jurong West Street 93) and Jurong Lake Gardens Pool (Yuan Ching Road). Bukit Batok Swimming Complex and Clementi Swimming Complex are other options nearby.
Not in these areas? Swim2u may still be able to help. Message the team with your location and the pools you can get to.
Swimming lessons at your condominium pool
If you live in a condominium, lessons at your own pool cut out travel time, which helps with young children and busy weekday schedules. A few points to sort out first:
- Check your condo’s rules. Many condominiums have by-laws on external instructors, pool hours and guest numbers. Ask your management office before booking.
- Pool depth and size. A shallow section is useful for beginners and children. Share a rough idea of the pool layout when you enquire.
- 1-to-1 or a small group. Condo lessons suit private 1-to-1 lessons, siblings, or a small group of neighbours. See private swimming course and private vs group swimming lessons.
For more on condo lessons specifically, see CondoSwimming.sg, Swim2u’s site for condominium swimming lessons.
How to choose a pool for your swimming course
The “best” pool is usually the one you can get to every week without stress. Consistency matters more than facilities, especially for beginners. Things to weigh up:
- Travel time. Aim for a pool you can reach in 15 to 20 minutes. Long trips after school or work are the most common reason lessons get skipped.
- Lesson times. Weekday afternoons and weekend mornings are popular. If you are flexible on day and time, there is more choice of pool.
- Outdoor vs sheltered. Many public pools in Singapore are outdoor. A sheltered or shaded pool is more comfortable in the midday sun, but outdoor pools are the norm, so bring sunscreen and a towel or poncho for young children.
- Lightning and weather. Outdoor pools typically clear the water when lightning risk is detected, and afternoons in Singapore often bring thunderstorms. Morning lessons can be less affected. How weather disruptions are handled is covered in the Swim2u terms and conditions.
- Pool entry fees. Public swimming complexes charge an entry fee that is separate from lesson fees. Pool entry fees may apply separately; confirm on enquiry. Rates are published by ActiveSG. See swimming course fees for lesson packages.
- Weekend crowding. Public pools can be busy on weekends and school holidays. Beginners, especially nervous children and adults, may find quieter weekday slots easier to settle into.
- Depth and teaching area. Beginners and young children need shallow water where they can stand. Many public complexes have a learner or teaching pool as well as a competition pool.
