SwimmingCourse.sg

Editorial policy

How we research, write and update the swimming guides on this site, and what we will not publish.

Who writes the guides

SwimmingCourse.sg is published by Swim2u Swim School, a Singapore swim school that teaches babies, toddlers, children, adults, ladies and learners with special needs. The guides are written by Alvin, an SSI Swimming Instructor Trainer with more than 10 years of experience teaching swimming, using Swim2u's day-to-day knowledge of how lessons are taught and arranged.

What the guides are for

The guides help you choose a swimming course, understand what happens in lessons and learn to swim more safely and comfortably. Because the site is run by a swim school, enquiries made here go to Swim2u. We say so clearly on every page.

What we will not publish

  • Made-up statistics, or figures we cannot trace to a source.
  • Reviews, ratings or testimonials that are not genuine.
  • Guarantees about how fast someone will learn to swim.
  • Claims about qualifications, awards or venues that we cannot verify.
  • Medical advice. Health topics are written as general information, and we tell readers to check with a doctor where it matters.

Sources we rely on

For programme, pool and safety facts we refer to official Singapore sources, including SwimSafer on ActiveSG Circle, the ActiveSG swimming pool listing and the National Environment Agency. For health and drowning prevention we use bodies such as the World Health Organization, and for stroke rules, World Aquatics. Fees come from Swim2u's published rates and are shown with the month they were checked. Each guide lists the sources it relies on at the end of the page.

Updates and dates

Each guide shows when it was published or last reviewed. We update a page when Swim2u's courses or fees change, when an official source changes, or when a reader reports a mistake.

Reporting a mistake

Email info@swim2u.sg with the page address and what looks wrong. We check reported errors and correct the page.
